In May 2006, while involved with the US Department of Energy & Clean Cities International, I had the privilege of meeting Senator John McCain during a presentation in Phoenix, Arizona. Senator McCain, a fervent advocate for US-India ties and environmental initiatives, emphasized the indispensable need for a grand vision that nations should aspire to. His insistence on the importance of a collective vision for a nation’s future resonated with me profoundly and has since guided the foundational themes of my book. His words reminded me that the true measure of a ‘Great India’ lies not just in economic growth but in enhancing the quality of life, strengthening institutions, and promoting cultural harmony. This anecdote is a cornerstone in my narrative, illustrating the importance of visionary leadership in shaping a prosperous and bold India.
6. In your opinion, what sets India apart from other emerging economies in terms of its potential for growth and development?
Suyash: I believe India stands out due to its rich cultural diversity, demographic potential, and entrepreneurial spirit.
