Meet Dhakshitha JP, a young author who has recently published her first book, 21 Grateful. Dhakshitha wrote this book to bridge the gap between conventional success metrics—like grades and Ivy League admissions—and the deeper, more meaningful aspects of personal growth that are often overlooked. Through her journey from childhood to young adulthood, she realized that the true foundation of success lies in the thoughts we think, the people we connect with, and the teams we build. Her book emphasizes that reality demands more than just external achievements.

It all began once in Down Sterling on 5, July 2022 when I penned down a message on a tissue paper while I was sipping on my usual there. I really never had an idea of writing a book ……But the magic of 21 Grateful happened when a change of place happened, while I was living in Singapore. So the roots are Chennai, India but the book was born in Singapore, she said. Marina to Marina Bay Sands it was…. she laughed…

She also added, starting on a spiritual journey since 2021 gave me a solid reason for this book. Holding memories close to me and with deep gratitude I was excited for a new phase of my life. Plus being a young adult myself and resonating with what teens go through, I thought why not write a book on this….So with all those …that’s how 21 Grateful emerged.

Dhakshitha found that the places where she wrote made a big difference in her work. “I love writing in nice cafes and rooftop lounges,” she shares. The main message in 21 Grateful is simple: believe in yourself, stay confident, and keep a positive mindset.

Dhakshitha emphasises on the power of mind and the miracles it could do and added I really wish someone had introduced me to this earlier on!

The author has accomplished a lot besides writing. She is a Duke of Edinburgh Gold Awardee, has received several Rotary Awards for Community Service, showing her commitment towards making a positive impact, and is a leisure golfer.

Dhakshitha is an alumni of the Jain International Residential School, Bangalore and holds a BSc in Business Management from the University of London.

Looking ahead, Dhakshitha is excited about her future writing projects. “There’s more coming; this is definitely just the start!” she says with enthusiasm.

21 Grateful is a heartfelt book aimed at young adults who need encouragement and support. If you’re looking for inspiration, you can find Dhakshitha’s book on Amazon.
