Shivasharan has a degree in Electronics and Communications and works as a Principal Software Engineer at Dell Technologies. He has several patents and has written papers on technical topics. But writing has always been a passion for him. Before this novel, he enjoyed sharing short stories and poems on his blog. Now, he is excited to present his first book.

The idea for A Leaf in the Whirlwind comes from a story about Buddha. In this tale, Buddha tells a grieving mother to find mustard seeds from a house that has not seen death. This idea resonates with Shivasharan, who has seen how tragedy affects families. He wanted to write about these experiences, hoping they were just stories but knowing they were true.

Shivasharan describes his writing process as thoughtful and imaginative. He starts by picturing the whole story and its characters in his mind. Once he has a clear idea, the words flow naturally, and he types them out. His love for reading helps him with storytelling and character development. He jokes that he doesn’t keep a list of characters, but he might need one when he writes his next book.
